Sparkling Wines with an Island Fizz!

Sparkling wines are on of the easiest wines to serve as part of a cocktail. Bubbles add delight to the nose and palate when paired with simple liquors and juices.
One of my favorites is a sparkling cocktail that I’ve created called The Island Fizz. It reminds me of a resort drink. Sparkly like the water and bright like the sun!
Try the recipe below for your tropical treat to beat the cold weather blues and cool down the summer heat! Note: While I suggest my favorite brands, I was not compensated for use of any of these products.

 Island Fizz Sparkling Champagne Cocktail

1 oz Root 23 Grapefruit Basil Simple Syrup
1 oz Tito’s Handmade Vodka
2 ozs Trader Joes Orange, Peach, Mango Juice
Chilled Bruit Cuvée to top off the the cocktail (at least 2 ounces)
1 slice of fresh mango
Chilled Champagne Glass
In a cold cocktail shaker add the vodka, blended juice and simple sysrup. Shake lightly and pour into the chilled champagne glass. Add a slice of mango and top off your cocktail with Brut Cuvée. Enjoy the tropical bubbles!
